Crusher Maintenance Checklist for Jaw & Cone Crushers
Regular maintenance is the cheapest insurance for your crusher. A small daily check prevents costly breakdowns and keeps production running. Here is a practical checklist.
Daily checks
- Lubrication: check oil level and temperature (normal range 38-55°C for most crushers)
- Wear parts: inspect jaw plates or mantle/concave for cracking or excessive wear
- Fasteners: check toggle plate seat, frame bolts and liner clamps
- Discharge: confirm the discharge opening has not drifted
- Abnormal noise or vibration: investigate immediately
Weekly checks
- Check the eccentric shaft and bearings for heating
- Inspect drive belts for tension and wear
- Clean the oil filter and check for metal particles in the oil
- Check the hydraulic system (if equipped) for leaks and pressure
Monthly checks
- Measure jaw plate or liner wear and plan replacement
- Check the toggle plate, springs or hydraulic cylinders
- Grease all lubrication points per the manual
- Inspect the flywheel, sheave and keyways
- Verify the crusher frame is level and anchor bolts are tight
Signs it’s time to replace wear parts
- Jaw plates: teeth worn down, capacity drops, product size grows
- Mantle/concave: profile worn unevenly, output drops more than 20%
- Blow bars: length reduced by half or turning no longer helps
- Screen: more than 10% of panels damaged
Storage of spare parts
Keep a set of critical wear parts in stock: jaw plates, mantle and concave, blow bars, bearings, toggle plates, springs. For a 150 t/h plant, stocking one set of jaw plates and one set of cone liners covers most emergency needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I confirm a model before ordering?
Send your maximum feed lump, target tonnes per hour, required discharge size and rock type. We return a model, cavity, motor power and estimated weight within 24 hours.
Can you supply the whole plant, not just one machine?
Yes. Feeder, crusher, screen, conveyors, control panel and foundation drawings can be supplied as one package, and we export worldwide.
What about spare parts after delivery?
Jaw plates, cone mantles and concaves, blow bars, bushings, bearings and V-belts are kept in stock, matched to your machine model.
Do you provide installation support?
Yes - remote guidance is included, and an engineer can be dispatched to site when required.
