Overview
The mantle (crushing wall) is the primary wear component of a cone crusher, mounted on the cone head and gyrating against the stationary concave (bowl liner) to crush rock and ore. As the most frequently replaced wear part, the mantle directly determines crusher throughput, product quality and operating cost.
Our mantles are cast from ZGMn13-2 or Mn18Cr2 high manganese steel , which work-hardens under the impact of crushing to achieve surface hardness exceeding HB 500 while maintaining a tough, crack-resistant core. Multiple cavity profiles (standard, coarse, fine, extra-fine) are available to optimize performance for different feed sizes and product specifications.
Quality & Application
Each mantle passes comprehensive inspection including dimension verification, chemical composition analysis and surface quality checks before shipment. The mounting taper and locking interface are precision-machined for proper fit on the cone head.
Standard mantles are stocked for all common Symons spring cone crusher sizes. Custom manganese grades, cavity profiles and dimensions are available for specific rock types (hard granite, limestone, iron ore) and application requirements. Selecting the right mantle profile and material is critical for maximizing crusher productivity and minimizing cost per ton in mining, quarry and aggregate operations.
