Overview
The jaw plate (jaw liner) is the primary crushing wear component of a jaw crusher, installed in pairs as a fixed jaw plate on the frame and a movable jaw plate on the moving jaw. The corrugated or toothed working surfaces grip and compress rock between them as the moving jaw reciprocates, performing the primary crushing operation. Jaw plates are the most frequently replaced wear parts in a jaw crusher.
Our jaw plates are cast from ZGMn13-2 or Mn18Cr2 high manganese steel , which work-hardens under the impact and compression of crushing to achieve surface hardness exceeding HB 500 while maintaining a tough, crack-resistant core. Multiple tooth profiles (corrugated, smooth, deep, shallow) are available to optimize performance for different feed sizes, rock types and product requirements.
Quality & Application
Each jaw plate passes comprehensive inspection including dimension verification, chemical composition analysis and surface quality checks before shipment. Mounting holes are precision-drilled for proper fit on the frame and moving jaw.
Standard jaw plates are stocked for all common PE and PEX series jaw crusher sizes, supplied as matched fixed and movable sets. Custom manganese grades, tooth profiles and dimensions are available for specific rock types (hard granite, limestone, iron ore) and crusher models. Selecting the right jaw plate material and tooth profile is critical for maximizing crusher productivity, minimizing cost per ton and ensuring consistent product quality in mining, quarry and aggregate operations.
