Overview
The adjustment seat (toggle seat) is a heavy cast steel component installed at the rear of the jaw crusher frame. It supports the rear end of the toggle plate and, working with either a shim pack or wedge adjustment mechanism, allows the operator to move the toggle plate support position forward or backward to adjust the closed-side setting (CSS) and control the crushed product size.
Our adjustment seats are cast from ZG270-500 or ZG35CrMo high-strength cast steel , with the toggle contact surface and sliding faces CNC-machined to precise tolerances. Post-casting stress relief treatment ensures dimensional stability, and non-destructive testing verifies casting integrity.
Quality & Application
Each adjustment seat passes comprehensive inspection including dimension verification, non-destructive testing (UT/MT) and surface quality assessment before shipment. Anti-rust primer and industrial paint are applied for corrosion protection.
Standard adjustment seats are manufactured for all common PE and PEX series jaw crusher sizes, in both shim-type and wedge-type configurations. Custom dimensions and adjustment mechanisms are available for specific crusher models. A properly manufactured adjustment seat is essential for accurate discharge size control, reliable toggle plate support and safe crusher operation in mining and quarry applications.
