Overview
The pressure block (jaw plate wedge / clamp block) is a cast steel clamping component installed at the top edge of the jaw plate in a jaw crusher. It works with tightening bolts to wedge or clamp the jaw plate firmly against the moving jaw body or fixed frame, preventing the jaw plate from shifting, lifting or dislodging under the tremendous impact and vibration of continuous crushing operation.
Our pressure blocks are cast from ZG270-500 or ZG35CrMo cast steel , with contact surfaces and bolt holes CNC-machined to precise tolerances for proper fit and even clamping pressure. The wedge or block design creates strong mechanical clamping force that securely holds the jaw plate in place.
Quality & Application
Each pressure block passes comprehensive inspection including dimension verification, surface quality assessment and fit checking before shipment. Anti-rust primer and industrial paint are applied for corrosion protection.
Standard pressure blocks are stocked for all common PE and PEX series jaw crusher sizes, for both fixed and movable jaw plate positions. Custom dimensions, wedge angles and bolt patterns are available for specific crusher models. A properly fitted pressure block is essential for secure jaw plate retention, preventing costly jaw plate damage or dislodging and ensuring safe, uninterrupted crusher operation in mining and quarry applications.
