Overview
The toggle rod (tie rod / pull rod) is a critical tension component in a jaw crusher, installed horizontally at the rear of the machine. One end connects to the moving jaw through a pivot pin, while the other end passes through the rear frame and is fitted with a compression spring and adjusting nut. The toggle rod works in conjunction with the spring to maintain constant tension on the toggle plate, ensuring it remains seated between the moving jaw and the adjustment seat, and returns the moving jaw to its open position after each crushing stroke.
Our toggle rods are forged from 45# or 40Cr alloy steel with integral eye ends, eliminating weak welded joints. Quenching and tempering heat treatment achieves high tensile strength and excellent fatigue resistance for continuous cyclic loading.
Quality & Application
Each toggle rod passes comprehensive inspection including tensile testing, dimension verification and surface quality assessment before shipment. Anti-rust coating is applied for protection during storage and transit.
Standard toggle rods are stocked for all common PE and PEX series jaw crusher sizes. Custom rod diameters, lengths and end configurations are available for specific crusher models. A properly manufactured toggle rod is essential for reliable toggle plate retention, consistent jaw return and uninterrupted crushing operation in mining and quarry applications.
