Overview
The moving jaw (swing jaw) is the primary moving structural component of a jaw crusher. It is mounted on the eccentric shaft through precision-machined bearing bores and carries the movable jaw plate on its front face. Driven by the eccentric shaft rotation and supported at the rear by the toggle plate, the moving jaw performs the reciprocating motion that compresses rock against the fixed jaw plate to perform crushing.
Our moving jaws are cast from ZG35CrMo or ZG270-500 high-strength cast steel , with integral rib reinforcement for maximum rigidity. The eccentric shaft bearing bores and jaw plate mounting faces are CNC-machined to precise tolerances. Post-casting stress relief treatment ensures dimensional stability under continuous heavy loads.
Quality & Application
Each moving jaw passes comprehensive inspection including dimension verification, non-destructive testing (UT/MT) and surface quality assessment before shipment. Anti-rust primer and industrial paint are applied for corrosion protection.
Standard moving jaws are manufactured for all common PE and PEX series jaw crusher sizes. Custom dimensions, jaw plate mounting patterns and bearing bore sizes are available for specific crusher configurations. As the core moving structure, a properly manufactured moving jaw is essential for smooth crusher operation, proper jaw plate alignment and long service life in mining and quarry applications.
