Overview
The compression spring group is the safety protection component of a Symons spring cone crusher. Under normal operating conditions, the springs hold the adjustment ring and bowl assembly in position. When non-crushable material such as iron or tramp metal enters the crushing chamber, the springs compress to allow the foreign object to pass through, preventing catastrophic machine damage.
Our crusher springs are manufactured from 60Si2Mn or 50CrVA alloy spring steel , hot-coiled and then fully tempered and stress-relieved. Each spring is tested for free length and spring force, with black oxide coating for corrosion protection.
Quality & Application
Every spring undergoes pre-compression cycling to settle the material and verify load performance before shipment. Closed and ground ends ensure even load distribution and stable seating.
We supply complete spring sets for all Symons spring cone crusher sizes, including 2ft, 3ft, 4.25ft, 5.5ft and 7ft models. Custom compression springs with specified wire diameter, outer diameter, free length and spring rate can be produced from customer drawings or samples.
