Overview
The eccentric bushing (eccentric sleeve) is the core drive component of a Symons cone crusher. It consists of a cast steel sleeve with an offset (eccentric) bore that houses the main shaft, and an integral bevel gear at its lower end. As the pinion shaft drives the bevel gear, the eccentric sleeve rotates, causing the main shaft and cone head to gyrate in a circular path that performs the crushing action.
Our eccentric bushings are cast from ZG35CrMo high-strength alloy cast steel , with the eccentric bore, outer bearing surface and bevel gear teeth all CNC-machined to precise tolerances. The gear teeth are profile-ground for smooth, quiet operation and maximum power transmission efficiency.
Quality & Application
Each eccentric bushing passes comprehensive inspection including eccentricity verification, gear tooth profile check, bearing surface dimension measurement and optional non-destructive testing. Anti-rust primer and industrial paint are applied for corrosion protection.
Standard eccentric bushings are stocked for all common Symons spring cone crusher sizes. Custom eccentricities, gear ratios and dimensions are available for specific crusher configurations and application requirements. As the most critical drive component, a properly manufactured eccentric bushing is essential for crusher reliability, throughput and product quality in mining and quarry operations.
