Overview
The oil slinger (oil thrower cup) is a lubrication component mounted on the rotating shaft or eccentric assembly of a Symons cone crusher. As it rotates, the cup-shaped profile picks up lubrication oil from the sump and uses centrifugal force to throw it in a controlled pattern onto the bevel gear teeth, bearing surfaces and other critical friction points within the crusher housing.
Our oil slingers are cast from ZG230-450 cast steel or HT250 cast iron , with the mounting bore and oil-throwing profile CNC-machined to precise tolerances. The balanced construction ensures smooth, vibration-free rotation at crusher operating speeds.
Quality & Application
Each oil slinger passes dimension inspection and balance verification before shipment. Anti-rust primer and oil-resistant coating are applied for protection during storage and transit.
Standard oil slingers are stocked for all common Symons spring cone crusher sizes. Custom bore diameters, cup profiles and heights are available for non-standard crusher configurations. A properly functioning oil slinger is essential for maintaining consistent splash lubrication and extending the service life of bevel gears, bearings and bushings in mining and quarry operations.
