Overview
The cutting ring (tramp release ring) is a critical safety component installed at the interface between the bowl assembly and adjustment ring in a Symons cone crusher. When uncrushable material such as tramp metal, steel rods or oversized rock enters the crushing chamber, the cutting ring is designed to shear or release, allowing the bowl to lift and pass the material without causing catastrophic damage to the mantle, concave or crusher frame.
Our cutting rings are cast from ZG35CrMo high-strength alloy cast steel , with the shear profiles and mounting surfaces CNC-machined to precise tolerances. The controlled material hardness and shear geometry ensure reliable release at the designed overload force.
Quality & Application
Each cutting ring passes dimension inspection and hardness verification before shipment. Anti-rust primer and industrial paint are applied for corrosion protection during storage and transit.
Standard cutting rings are stocked for all common Symons spring cone crusher sizes. Custom diameters, thicknesses and shear profiles are available for non-standard crusher configurations.
