Overview
The main shaft sleeve (spindle sleeve) is an alloy steel sleeve fitted over the main shaft within the eccentric assembly of a Symons cone crusher. It provides a sacrificial wear surface at the interface between the rotating main shaft and the inner eccentric bushing, protecting the expensive main shaft from abrasion, galling and contact damage during continuous gyratory operation.
Our main shaft sleeves are forged from 42CrMo or 40Cr alloy steel , with inner and outer diameters CNC-machined to precise tolerances for proper shrink-fit installation and correct bearing clearance. The outer surface is induction hardened for enhanced wear resistance at the bearing contact area.
Quality & Application
Each main shaft sleeve passes comprehensive inspection including dimension verification, hardness testing and surface roughness measurement before shipment. Anti-rust coating is applied for protection during storage and transit.
Standard main shaft sleeves are stocked for all common Symons spring cone crusher sizes. Custom inner/outer diameters and lengths are available for non-standard crusher configurations. As a cost-effective sacrificial component, a properly manufactured main shaft sleeve extends main shaft service life and reduces expensive shaft replacement costs in mining and quarry operations.
