Overview
The pinion shaft assembly is the power transfer component of a Symons spring cone crusher. It transmits motor torque to the main shaft assembly through the bevel gear pair, converting horizontal rotational force into the eccentric crushing motion that breaks rock inside the chamber.
Our pinion shaft is forged from 42CrMo alloy steel , then carburized and quenched to achieve a gear surface hardness of HRC 55-60. The bevel gear teeth are finish-ground for precise meshing, low noise and minimal vibration under continuous heavy load.
Quality & Application
Shaft journals are CNC-machined to tight tolerances for proper bronze bushing fit. Each unit passes full dimension inspection and hardness verification before shipment, with anti-rust coating applied for storage and transit.
Widely used in mining, quarry and aggregate production lines processing granite, basalt, limestone and iron ore. Standard stock available for common Symons models; non-standard dimensions can be custom-produced from customer drawings or samples.
Key Features
- Alloy Forged Body: Forged blank improves material density, eliminates inner defects under heavy torque load.
- Hardened Bevel Gear: Carburizing heat-treatment delivers high gear surface hardness and superior wear resistance.
- Precision Gear Grinding: Smooth gear meshing reduces running noise, vibration and tooth breakage risk.
- OEM Interchangeable: Fully interchangeable with original Symons cone crusher dimensions, direct replacement.
- Strict Hardness Control: Every batch undergoes hardness testing to guarantee consistent service life.
- Custom-Made Available: We manufacture pinion shafts to your drawing or physical sample specifications.
