Overview
The pulley taper bushing (taper lock bushing) is a conical steel sleeve installed between the flywheel or motor pulley bore and the pinion shaft in a Symons cone crusher. When tightened, the taper creates a radial interference fit that locks the pulley securely to the shaft, enabling reliable torque transmission from the motor to the crusher's bevel gear set.
Our pulley taper bushings are cast from ZG35CrMo high-strength alloy cast steel , with both inner and outer conical surfaces CNC-machined to precise taper angles. The split design (where applicable) allows for easy installation and removal without damaging the shaft or pulley.
Quality & Application
Each taper bushing passes full dimension inspection on bore diameter, outer diameter, taper angle and length before shipment. Anti-rust primer and industrial paint are applied for corrosion protection during storage and transit.
Standard pulley taper bushings are stocked for all common Symons spring cone crusher sizes. Custom bore diameters, taper angles and lengths are available for non-standard pulley and shaft configurations. A properly fitted taper bushing is essential for preventing pulley slippage and ensuring consistent crusher performance in mining and quarry operations.
