Overview
The flywheel and grooved pulley is a critical component of the cone crusher drive system. Mounted on the countershaft, it serves two functions: the V-belt grooves transmit motor power from the electric motor, while the heavy rim stores rotational energy to smooth out torque fluctuations during the crushing cycle.
Our flywheels are sand-cast from high-grade HT250/HT300 cast iron , known for excellent vibration damping and fatigue resistance. The V-belt grooves, bore and keyway are CNC-machined to precise tolerances, and each unit is dynamically balanced to G6.3 grade.
Quality & Application
Every flywheel passes dimensional inspection on groove profile, bore diameter and runout, followed by dynamic balancing verification. Anti-rust primer and industrial paint are applied for corrosion protection during storage and shipping.
Standard flywheels are stocked for all common Symons spring cone crusher models. Custom configurations including different diameters, groove counts and bore sizes are available to match specific crusher drive requirements. Widely used in mining, quarry and aggregate production lines worldwide.
